Tourism: Naturally Surprising
Extensive coasts, lakes, volcanoes, glaciers, valleys, native forests and deserts are part of the scenery offered by this land of contrasts, which impresses with its variety and always surprises the visitor. In the north, the Atacama Desert, the most arid desert on the planet, and in the south, the immensity of the millenary ice.
The majesty of the Andes Mountains and the coastline bathed by the Pacific Ocean shelter a territory of valleys and vineyards in the central zone, and wide extensions of native forests in the south. Because of its variety of landscapes, Chile is essentially a country to enjoy nature and offers each visitor a unique experience: mountaineering, horseback riding, skiing, archaeological explorations, observation of the rich flora and fauna, diving and beaches, rafting and kayaking in rivers and fjords, navigation among ice floes or excursions to ritual sites on Easter Island.
Santiago, capital of Chile, is a modern metropolis with high safety standards, excellent hotel infrastructure and a varied gastronomic offer, an interesting historic center, bohemian neighborhood, quiet residential areas and one of the most important Pre-Columbian Art Museums in Latin America. From here you can access the beaches of the central coast and ski resorts of international level, in just an hour's drive.
Chilean Cuisine
Chilean gastronomy is a reflection of the ancestral and cultural evolution of our country, in permanent search of its essence and identity. It stands out for an integration of herbs and spices, a great variety of seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables always fresh.
Chilean cuisine reflects the Spanish influence mixed with the indigenous roots that give identity to regional dishes, such as the Aymara in the north, the Mapuche in the central-south zone and the Easter culture.
