Objetivos y funciones
The main objectives and functions of the Embassy are:
• To promote political, economic and cultural bilateral cooperation with Venezuela, strengthening the knowledge of Chile, its society and culture.
• To represent the interests of the country and its nationals in Venezuela.
• To implement Chilean foreign policy, which is specially focused on the promotion of democracy and human rights, the maintaining of peace and the compliance with the principles of international public law.
• To contribute to bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
• Participate of the regional cooperation schemes as SELA, UNASUR (Union of South American Nations) and the rest of initiatives for integration taking place in Venezuela.
• Foster the coordination between the public and private institutions of both countries.
