Commercial Attaché (ProChile)
ProChile, Export Promotion Bureau, is part of the General Directorate of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile. ProChile was created as a support institution to encourage the policy of diversification and expansion of exports.
The Mission of ProChile is to promote the increase of exports, watching over:
- The increase of value and number of goods and services exported.
- The increase in the number of exporting companies, especially small and medium-sized ones.
- The diversification of destination markets.
In addition to the objectives aforementioned, ProChile bases its management in four fundamental concepts of action:
- The support to the SMEs in their process of internationalization.
- Taking advantage of the opportunities generated by the Trade Agreements subscribed by the country.
- The enhancement of public-private sectors cooperation.
- Positioning of the image of Chile in foreign markets
To meet these objectives, ProChile has a network of offices throughout Chile and in the main markets of the world, and has also developed a varied offer of services for the exporter in three specific areas: Orientation, Trade Promotion Actions and Information Technologies.
