Ambassador of Chile to the Philippines, joined the Chilean Foreign Service in 1993.  During his career, he served in the Mission of Chile to the European Union and the Embassy in Belgium and Luxembourg, the Delegation of Chile to UNESCO (Paris), and the Mission of Chile to the United Nations (New York).

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Santiago, he was Deputy Director of Personnel, Head of the Organizational Development Department, and worked in the cabinets of the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, the Director General of Administration and in the Planning Division.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in History and Geography from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (Chile) and graduated from the Andrés Bello Diplomatic Academy (Chile). He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Solvay Business School (Free University of Brussels) and completed his postgraduate studies in Political Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

At the time of his appointment as Ambassador of Chile to the Philippines, he was Minister Counsellor in the Mission of Chile to the European Union and the Embassy in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Languages Spoken: Spanish (mother tongue), English, and French.
